April 23, 2015 - Craig S. Lipka, CEO of Historical Race Technologies, will present the HRT pari-mutuel wagering platform to The Association of Racing Commissioners International at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tampa, FL.  Mr. Lipka will submit for consideration by the association "model regulations for historical race wagering" consistent with live and simulcast race wagering.


April 6, 2015 - Idaho Gov. Vetoes Repeal of Instant Racing by The Associated Press

Idaho Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter has vetoed legislation that would have made roughly 250 Instant Racing betting machines illegal.  But Otter did put a moratorium on any new Instant Racing machines in the state and asked the legislature to join him in appointing a special investigator to assess the legality of the machines that are currently in use.  "In vetoing this bill, what I'm seeking is an alternative capable of restoring public confidence in horse racing as a legitimate and even ennobling industry that is tied directly and irrevocably to race tracks, to stalls and starting gates, to paddocks and jockeys, and to people who love this sport," Otter wrote.


February 26, 2015 - Nevada approved virtual racing.  Craig S. Lipka, CEO of Historical Race Technologies, submitted for approval Historical Race Wagering to the Nevada Gaming Commission.


November 18, 2014 - Craig S. Lipka, CEO of Historical Race Technologies, presented the Historical Race Technologies platform to the Illinois Racing Commission.


May 29, 2014 - U.S. lawmakers have drafted a federal bill that would allow online poker, but would make other forms of online gaming illegal. The "Internet Gambling Prohibition and Control Act of 2014" also includes exemptions for state lotteries and horse racing. The draft is separate from the bill introduced earlier this year that would ban all forms of online gaming.
